Answer: So, in case your fault in an accident, your loss can be up to 5,000 Baht, depending on the damage caused to the vehicles. For example, if you scratched the bumper and it’s repair cost 1,000 Baht, you will lose exactly that amount. And if the amount of damages is 30,000 Baht you will lose the entire amount of the absolute franchise of 5,000 Baht. In case of your innocence in an accident, you will not lose anything at all.

 

Please note that the company 5 Star Auto, unlike many companies offering car hire in Pattaya, doesn’t ask you to pay the additional costs (over 5,000 Baht) or pay for the downtime of the vehicle on the service, even if your fault accident.

 

Again, the only exceptions are cases involving drunk drivers.
