E-85 is petrol based on bioethanol. Bioethanol - the usual ethanol derived from plant raw materials for use as biofuels. World ethanol production in 2005 amounted to 36.3 billion liters, of which 45% came from Brazil and 44.7% - in the United States. Ethanol in Brazil is mainly made from sugar cane, and in the United States - from corn.
